Sumit Bapna, MD, is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon whose facial anatomy expertise sharpens his precision as a hair restoration specialist in Dublin, Ohio. Sumit Bapna, MD, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) through a six-year combined BS/MD program, where he served as president of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical school’s honor society.
He completed a general surgical internship at Mount Carmel Medical Center, followed by a residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Bapna then completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery sponsored by the AAFPRS in San Francisco, California, training under Corey S. Maas, MD, and Sheldon S. Kabaker, MD — surgical training that gave him an exacting command of facial anatomy and aesthetic proportion, skills he now applies to precise hairline design.
He is dual board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery — a level of surgical credentialing uncommon among hair restoration providers.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Dr. Bapna has become one of Ohio’s most trusted names in hair restoration, specializing in both FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) techniques. His approach centers on natural hairline design and individualized, long-term treatment planning rather than a one-size-fits-all procedure.
